Kamakura Yoga Retreat Registration Form

An Autumn weekend of Yin & Yang Yoga, meditation, creative heart/mind workshops, beach walks, hot baths, and the company of a great bunch of women from all over the world.

Fancy taking some time & space to re-connect with you, and what’s true?
To rest, recharge, be nurtured and inspired.
To laugh, cry… dunk in the ocean… (yes! Kamakura is right beside the sea).
But most of all to get out of your ordinary, dust off some cobwebs, and polish your precious heart.

You’ll have plenty of free time to surf, swim, or walk on the beach. Or hike the nature trails. Or the shopping trails. Or eat and sleep. Or get a session with Carmela’s favourite healer Ayana. Or stew in the onsen. Or do nothing at all. You choose.

Retreat Includes
~ 2 nights shared accommodation at Webase Hostel, Kamakura (2 blocks away from beach)
~ 2 delicious & healthy breakfasts, prepared by wonderful Mama Luli
~ 2 energizing morning hatha yoga classes, led by Lucy
~ 2 relaxing evening yin yoga classes, led by Carmela
~ 1 welcome dinner
~ 1 dinner at traditional Japanese restaurant (best handmade soba)
~ 1 Visionboard workshop – schemed to plant goodness seeds into your future
~ use of yoga studio, mats and props
~ access to the onsen (traditional Japanese communal baths)
~ limitless warmth, love, giggles, thoughtful details, surprises and much more…

Lucy & Carmela
Met a few years back in Tokyo. Carmela had 1 kid, then 2; Lucy none, then 1. Friendship blossomed as we recognised in each other a kindred Soul, yogini, and fellow mama on a mission to support other mamas & busy, creative women to be happy & whole.

A late night Skype chat (and then another, and another…) sparked the idea of joining forces, to bring you more than either of us could do on our own.

Carmela Fleury is a Certified Martha Beck Life Coach, Certified Holistic Health Coach, Yin Yoga teacher, and THE Village Crazy Mama. She is passionate about raising happy and healthy humans and currently leads “Raising Happy & Healthy Mamas” retreats worldwide. This, along with avoiding doing laundry, has been her specialty since 2011. She lives in Kamakura with her husband & 2 kids.

Lucy Roberts met Yoga more than 22 years ago, and is no less in love than she was back then. She has spent a decade on the road as a Core Teacher on Yoga Arts’ Teacher Trainings with Louisa Sear, as well as running her own workshops and retreats internationally. She now lives in Byron Bay, Australia, with her partner David & daughter Rosie, creating nourishing, soulful Yoga Retreats especially for women. Her passion is for inclusion, where all of life is part of the Path.

About Kamakura
It’s less than an hour south of Tokyo, so a mecca for city peeps looking for a bit more space & chill. Although it can get really busy with tourists at certain times and in certain places, Kamakura has a laid-back earthy vibe that draws yogis, surfers, lovers of nature and a simpler life. Sometimes called the Kyoto of Eastern Japan, Kamakura is famous for its temples & shrines, many dotted throughout hillside forests.

About the Hostel
It’s simple, fresh, & modern with the best of Japanese tradition such as a large communal bath & shared rooms. Sleeping is 4 to a room with individual bunk-style beds laid out for maximum privacy in a shared space.

While room-sharing is often new & a bit unfamiliar for Westerners it’s very typically Japanese and part of the experience of traveling there, not to mention the fastest way to make friends-for-life with your roomies. Seriously, this happens all the time.

The Hostel itself is just a 10 minute walk from the beach, has a stunning purpose-built Yoga studio, restaurant, lounge, laundry, and rental bikes so you can go explore!
